The Reserve Bank of India, or RBI, is the country's central bank. Every year, the organization holds recruitment exams to fill various positions. The exam is held to direct recruit RBI Officers Grade B in Combined Seniority Group (CSG) streams. For the RBI Officer Grade B exam, candidates must be between the ages of 21 and 30 years.
RBI Grade B exam has a three-phase selection process for Officer Grade B (General). For RBI Officer Grade B (General) candidates must clear Phase-I, Phase-II of the exam, and the final interview process.
Candidates who pass all these selection procedures will be considered for the RBI Officer Grade B positions in its various branches all across the country. The RBI Officer Grade B Exam 2025 will be held online as a computer-based examination and offline as a descriptive (pen and paper mode).

Essential Educational Qualifications (As on September 01, 2025):
RBI Officer Grade B (General)
Graduation in any discipline/professional qualification or equivalent technical with at least 60 percent marks (50 percent for SC/ST/PwBD candidates) or Post-Graduation/Equivalent technical qualification with at least 55 percent marks (passing marks for SC/ST/PwBD candidates) in aggregate of all semesters/years.
Note:
Graduation Level
Any such course from a recognised University / Institute that is taken after Class XII and is at least of 3 years’ duration/ candidates possessing professional or technical qualifications which are recognised by the Government as equivalent to professional or technical graduation will be eligible for admission to the examination, subject to obtaining minimum marks prescribed above.
Post-Graduation Level
Any such course from a recognised University / Institute that is taken after Graduation and is at least of 2 years’ duration / recognised by the Government as equivalent to professional or technical Post-graduation will be eligible for admission to the examination, subject to obtaining minimum marks prescribed above.
Number of Attempts:
A general category candidate may apply for the RBI Grade B Phase-I test a maximum of six times. There is no attempt limit for applicants from the EWS, OBC, SC, ST, and PwBD categories.
Age Limit (As on September 01, 2025):
A candidate must have attained the age of 21 years and must not have attained the age of 30 years on July 01, 2024 i.e., he/she must have been born not earlier than July 02, 1994 and not later than July 01, 2003.

Important Note:

@For both Paper-I and Paper-III, there will be 30 questions and 50 marks for Objective questions (some questions carrying 2 marks each and some carrying 1 mark each). In case of Descriptive questions, 6 questions will be asked, of which candidates will be required to attempt 4 questions [2 of 15 marks each (with varying difficulty level) and 2 of 10 marks each]. In case, candidate answers more than 4 questions in descriptive, first 4 shall be evaluated.
Interview:
Applicants will be shortlisted for interviews based on the sum of their Phase-II marks (Paper-I + Paper-II + Paper-III). The Board shall determine the minimal aggregate cut-off marks for being shortlisted for an interview based on the number of vacancies. The interview will be worth 75 points.
Before presenting for the interview, the candidate must pass a psychometric test conducted by the bank. There will be no scores awarded for this, and it will not be considered as part of the final selection criterion. The candidate has the option of having the interview in Hindi or English. The final selection will be made using a merit list created by aggregating the marks obtained by applicants in the Phase-II examination and interview, as well as any grace marks that may be available under current guidelines.

Mode of Payment:
The payment can be made by using Debit Cards (RuPay/Visa/MasterCard/Maestro), Credit Cards, Internet Banking, IMPS, Cash Cards/ Mobile Wallets, UPI.
Bank Transaction charges for Online Payment of application fees/ intimation charges will have to be borne by the candidate.
The following is a step-by-step instruction to completing the RBI Grade B online application form:
1. Go to the official Reserve Bank of India (RBI) website at www.rbi.org.in.
2.On the homepage, click on the "Opportunities@RBI" section. This will take you to a new page containing current vacancies.
3.Look for the link for the "Recruitment for the Posts of Officers in Grade 'B' (Direct Recruit-DR) (General/DEPR/DSIM) Cadres – Panel Year 2025." Read the official notification carefully to understand the eligibility criteria, important dates, and specific instructions for the post you are applying for (General, DEPR, or DSIM).
4. New Registration: If you're a first-time applicant, click on "Click Here for New Registration." You will need to provide basic details like your name, email ID, and mobile number. A provisional registration number and password will be generated and sent to your registered email and mobile number.
Complete the Form: Log in with your new credentials and start filling out the application form. The form is typically divided into sections:
Basic Details: Enter personal information, post you're applying for, and preferred exam centers.
Personal Details: Provide your date of birth, gender, address, etc.
Educational Qualifications: Fill in your academic details.
Experience: Provide any relevant work experience.
5.You must upload scanned copies of the following documents, adhering to the specified size and dimension guidelines:
Photograph: A recent passport-size color picture (20-50 kb).
Signature: Your signature in black ink on white paper (10-20 kb).
Left Thumb Impression: On a white paper with black or blue ink (20-50 kb).
Handwritten Declaration: A declaration in English, written by hand in black ink on white paper (50-100 kb). The text for the declaration will be provided in the official notification. Do not write the declaration in all capital letters.
6.Before the final submission, use the preview function to review all the details you have entered. You can make edits to the information at this stage. Once you are sure everything is correct, click "Final Submit."
7. The application fee is non-refundable and must be paid online. The fee structure is as follows:
General/OBC/EWS: ₹850 (plus 18% GST).
SC/ST/PwBD: ₹100 (plus 18% GST).
You can pay using a Debit Card, Credit Card, or Net Banking.
8. After successful payment, the application process is complete. An e-receipt will be generated. It is crucial to download and print a copy of your submitted application form and the e-receipt for your records. You will also receive a confirmation via email and SMS.
