  • World Veterinary Day is annually observed on the last Saturday of April across the world. 
  • This year this day is being celebrated on 30th April.
  • The day aims to highlight and promote the work performed by veterinarians all over the world.
  • The World Veterinary Association aims to promote animal health and welfare and also deals with issues related to animal safety and the environment. 
  • It also ensures the availability of necessary natural resources to raise livestock.
  • The theme of this year is "Strengthening Veterinary Resilience".
