WHO names new variant of coronavirus as 'OMICRON'

The new B.1.1.529 coronavirus variant was designated as a 'variant of concern' by the World Health Organization (WHO) and given the name ‘Omicron’.
It was first reported to the WHO on November 24th, from South Africa, and has since been confirmed in Botswana, Belgium, Hong Kong, and Israel.
American and European countries are facing the fourth to the fifth wave of Corona.
