Virat Kohli announces to step down as captain of T20 team after World Cup

·         Indian cricket captain Virat Kohli today announced that he will step down as captain after the T20 World Cup to be held in the United Arab Emirates and Oman from October 17 to November 14 this year.

·         He will continue to lead the team in Test matches and ODIs.

·         Virat Kohli in 2017 M.S. He took over as the captain in the shortest format after Dhoni stepped down.

·         This will be the first time that Kohli will lead India in the ICC T20 World Cup. He has led the team to the finals of the 2017 ICC Champions Trophy and the semi-finals of the 2019 ICC World Cup in the past.
