Telangana Launches AI-Enabled Dial-112 System

  • Telangana Police launched the NextGen Dial-112 Emergency Response Support System (TG-ERSS) on 5 August 2026 at the Telangana Integrated Command and Control Centre in Hyderabad. The AI-enabled platform integrates 18 emergency services under the national number 112.
  • It uses intelligent call filtering, severity classification, smart routing and voice-to-text transcription, cutting processing time from 190 to 133 seconds. Telangana became the first state to integrate AI-enabled drones as first responders on a pilot basis. Average response time in the state is about 10 minutes 30 seconds.
