Kumbalangi set to become India's first sanitary napkin free village

  • Kumbalangi in Ernakulam, Kerala will be the first-ever sanitary napkin-free village in the country.
  • The achievement is part of a unique campaign underway in Ernakulam constituency.
  • As part of the initiative, menstrual cups will be distributed to women aged 18 and above. A total of 5000 menstrual cups will be distributed.
  • This campaign is being carried out in the Ernakulam parliamentary constituency after HLL Management Academy's 'Thingle' scheme in tie-up with Indian Oil Corporation.
