India Finish on Top with 43 Medals at Junior Shooting World Championship

  • India won a stunning 43 medals, including 17 gold, at the just ended ISSF Junior World Championship in Lima, putting them at the top of the standings.
  • In addition to the 17 gold medals, India won 16 silver and 10 bronze medals at the tournament.
  • The country’s shooters won all the available 12 medals on the final competition day of the top junior tournament at the Las Palmas Shooting range in the Peruvian capital of Lima.
  • Meanwhile, Manu Bhaker created a milestone record of becoming the first Indian shooter to win the highest number of medals in a single edition of the ISSF Junior World Championships, with as many as five medals.
