भारत और ऑस्ट्रेलिया ने 13 अक्टूबर 2025 को पर्थ में इरविन बैरकस में अपनी संयुक्त सैन्य अभ्यास AUSTRAHIND 2025 का चौथा संस्करण शुरू किया। लगभग 120 भारतीय सैनिक, जिन्हें गोरखा राइफल्स की एक बटालियन द्वारा नेतृत्व किया जा रहा है, इसमें भाग ले रहे हैं। यह अभ्यास शहरी और अर्ध-शहरी क्षेत्रों में कंपनी-स्तरीय संयुक्त संचालन के माध्यम से दोनों सेनाओं के बीच इंटरऑपरेबिलिटी और ऑपरेशनल रेडीनेस बढ़ाने पर केंद्रित है। इसमें जॉइंट प्लानिंग, टैक्टिकल ड्रिल्स और विशेष हथियार कौशल जैसी तकनीकों में प्रशिक्षण दिया जा रहा है। यह दो हफ्ते का अभ्यास 26 अक्टूबर तक चलेगा और भारत-ऑस्ट्रेलिया के बीच रक्षा सहयोग और मित्रता को मजबूत करते हुए इंडो-पैसिफिक क्षेत्र में विश्वास और साझेदारी को और बढ़ावा देगा। यह अभ्यास रक्षा मंत्री राजनाथ सिंह के हाल ही में ऑस्ट्रेलिया दौरे के बाद हो रहा है, जो दोनों देशों के स्ट्रैटेजिक संबंधों में तेजी को दर्शाता है।
