  • ब्रिटिश कलाकार डेविड हॉकनी, जिनका जन्म 9 जुलाई 1937 को ब्रैडफोर्ड, वेस्ट यॉर्कशायर में हुआ था, का 88 वर्ष की आयु में 11 जून 2026 को लंदन में उनके घर पर निधन हो गया। सात दशकों तक समकालीन कला के एक कद्दावर व्यक्तित्व रहे हॉकनी अपने जीवंत स्विमिंग पूल चित्रों, रंगीन परिदृश्यों, कोलाज, फोटोग्राफी और अभिनव आईपैड (iPad) चित्रों के लिए प्रसिद्ध थे।
  • उनके निधन के समय, लंदन की सरपेन्टाइन गैलरी में उनकी एक प्रदर्शनी चल रही थी, और भविष्य के शो टेट लंदन तथा ओस्लो के मंच संग्रहालय (Munch Museum) में नियोजित थे। उनके परिवार में उनके साथी जीन-पियरे गोनकाल्वेस डी लीमा, भाई और भतीजे/भतीजियां हैं।
