·         BBC Hindi's first news broadcaster Rajni Kaul passed away in Faridabad, Haryana.

·         She was 93 years old.

·         Not only was she the first woman to join BBC Hindi as a staff member, but she also became the first woman to read news bulletins in Hindi on the network in 1961.

·         She was famous for her program Indradhanush.
