Antyodaya Diwas celebrated with gaiety across India on 25 September

·       In India, Antyodaya Diwas is celebrated on 25 September every year after the birth anniversary of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya.

·       Antyodaya literally means "the rise of the poorest of the poor" or "the rise of the last man".

·       The day was declared by the Narendra Modi government on 25 September 2014 and is being officially celebrated since 2015.

·       Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay was the leader of the Bharatiya Jana Sangh from 1953 to 1968.
