VB-G RAM G Act Replaces MGNREGA

The Viksit Bharat – Guarantee for Rozgar and Ajeevika Mission (Gramin) Act, 2025 came into force on 1 July 2026 across rural India.
It replaces MGNREGA, increasing guaranteed wage employment from 100 to 125 days per rural household annually.
National average daily wage revised to ₹327.4 (interim floor ₹300). Funding pattern: 60:40 (Centre: State); 90:10 for NE & Himalayan states.
Existing MGNREGA job cards remain valid during transition; new Gramin Rozgar Guarantee Cards to be issued.
