Puducherry Police received the President’s Colour, also known as Nishaan, on 9 August 2026.
The ceremony was held at the Puducherry Armed Police Ground in Gorimedu.
President’s Colour is a prestigious ceremonial honour awarded to disciplined forces for distinguished service.
Puducherry became the 18th State or Union Territory police force to receive the honour.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah presented the Colour to the Ensign Officer.
