President Droupadi Murmu will confer the first Jal Sanchay Jan Bhagidari (JSJB) Awards 2025 on 18 November 2025 at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi, under the “Jal Shakti Abhiyan: Catch the Rain” initiative. The awards honor community-driven water conservation and groundwater recharge efforts. Telangana, Chhattisgarh, and Rajasthan topped the list, while Raipur, Hyderabad, and Gorakhpur were named best municipal corporations. A total of 100 awards will be given across states, districts, NGOs, and ministries. The initiative exceeded its goal with 27.6 lakh recharge structures nationwide.
