Odisha’s Sunapur and Puri beaches have once again earned the prestigious international Blue Flag certification for 2025–26. While Sunapur Beach secured the honour for the third consecutive year, Puri’s Golden Beach received it for the seventh year in a row. Awarded by the Denmark-based Foundation for Environmental Education (FEE), the Blue Flag tag recognizes beaches that meet strict standards of cleanliness, environmental sustainability, safety, and modern amenities. This achievement strengthens Odisha’s global reputation in eco-friendly coastal management and boosts tourism appeal.
