  • The National Statistical Office (NSO) under the Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation (MoSPI) has launched the first-ever Annual Survey of Incorporated Services Sector Enterprises (ASISSE).
  • The survey aims to create a comprehensive database of organised services sector enterprises in India.
  • It will cover over 1.21 lakh corporate entities registered under Companies Act and LLPs using GSTN database as sampling frame.
  • Conducted under Collection of Statistics Act, 2008 (amended 2017).
  • The initiative will strengthen the statistical framework and support evidence-based policy making for the services sector, a key driver of economic growth and employment.
