The mascot and logo of the first-ever Khelo India Water Sports Festival (KIWSF) were unveiled in Srinagar, with the Himalayan Kingfisher chosen as the mascot, symbolising agility and vibrancy. Scheduled from August 21 to 23, 2025, the festival will take place at the iconic Dal Lake. The event, organised by the J&K Sports Council in collaboration with the Union Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports and SAI, marks the second Khelo India event in Jammu & Kashmir after Gulmarg hosted the Winter Games in March 2025. This follows the Khelo India Beach Games in Diu (May 2025), expanding the sporting footprint across varied terrains.
