On June 9, Israeli forces intercepted the UK-flagged ship Madleen, which was en route from Italy to Gaza carrying humanitarian supplies. The vessel, part of the Freedom Flotilla Coalition’s mission to challenge Israel's blockade, had 12 people on board, including Swedish climate activist Greta Thunberg and French MEP Rima Hassan. The interception reignited debate over the legality of the blockade and humanitarian access to Gaza.
