International Epilepsy Day 2026 is observed globally on the second Monday of February (9 February) to raise awareness about epilepsy and reduce stigma. Organised by the International Bureau for Epilepsy and the International League Against Epilepsy, it unites over 120 countries. The 2026 theme promotes the #EpilepsyPledge campaign, encouraging individuals and institutions to take practical, supportive actions. The initiative focuses on safety, inclusion and improved understanding of seizure disorders. It aims to build more compassionate communities and better healthcare support for people living with epilepsy.
