Indian teenagers Vivaan Chhawchharia, Ariana Agarwal, and Avyana Mehta won the Global Winners title at The Earth Prize 2026 for their innovation, Plas-Stick — a biodegradable powder made from tamarind seed waste that removes microplastics from water using magnets. The electricity-free, low-cost solution targets rural communities. The team received a US$12,500 grant and worked with IIT Guwahati.
