The Indian Army successfully demonstrated the indigenous Divyastra Mk-1 tactical loitering munition in Jodhpur on 1 June 2026. Developed by Lucknow-based startup Hoverit with 95% indigenous content, the AI-powered drone has a 500 km range, 5-hour endurance, and 15 kg payload. It was tested in extreme desert conditions above 50°C for ISR and precision strike roles. It is significantly cheaper than foreign equivalents.
