The Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) received the Gold Award in the “Innovation through AI and New Age Technologies” category at the National Awards for e-Governance 2026. The award was presented on 1-2 July in Jaipur for its ICMR-MINDS platform.
This AI-powered initiative integrates mental health services with primary healthcare, providing clinical decision support, standardized screening, evidence-based treatment, and multilingual offline functionality. It aims to reduce dependence on specialists and improve access across India through trained frontline workers. Participating institutions include AIIMS centres and other medical colleges.
