India captain Shubman Gill and England’s Sophia Dunkley have been named ICC Men’s and Women’s Players of the Month for July 2025. Gill, who amassed 567 runs at an average of 94.50 across three Tests in England, became the first male cricketer to win the award four times, having previously earned it in January 2023, September 2023, and February 2025. Dunkley’s consistent performances secured her the women’s title. In the women’s game, Ash Gardner and Hayley Matthews remain tied with Gill’s record of four awards each.
