Elon Musk became the world’s first trillionaire following SpaceX’s historic IPO in June 2026. The stock debuted at $135 per share, opened at $150, and closed at around $161.11 on the first day, pushing the company’s valuation above $2 trillion. The IPO raised nearly $75 billion, the largest public offering in history, surpassing Saudi Aramco’s 2019 record. As the largest shareholder, Musk’s fortune crossed $1 trillion. Founded in 2002, SpaceX revolutionized space travel with reusable rockets. Musk also leads Tesla, xAI, X, and Starlink.
