Category : Defense Published on: November 10 2025
China officially commissioned its third and most advanced aircraft carrier, the Fujian, at Sanya Port, Hainan, with President Xi Jinping in attendance. The 80,000-tonne flat-deck carrier features the Electromagnetic Aircraft Launch System (EMALS) and all-electric propulsion, putting it on par with U.S. Ford-class carriers. Its air wing, including J-15T, J-35, KJ-600, and HZ-20 aircraft, allows full-deck operations and extended reach. The Fujian significantly advances China’s naval modernization, power projection, and strategic influence in the Indo-Pacific region.
