Veteran actor and theatre practitioner Amol Palekar will be honoured at the 21st Mahindra Excellence in Theatre Awards (META) 2026.
META 2026 will be held in New Delhi from March 19–25 at Kamani Auditorium and Shri Ram Centre for Performing Arts.
META is instituted by the Mahindra Group and produced by Teamwork Arts to celebrate outstanding Indian theatre.
The 2026 edition received a record 422 submissions from 20+ states, 100+ cities, and ~60 languages and dialects.
Ten productions have been shortlisted to compete across 13 competitive categories at the festival.
The jury includes Amal Allana, Anuradha Kapur, Rajit Kapur, Satish Alekar and Ila Arun; awards night is on March 25.
