Agriculture scholarship payments via NSP-DBT

Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan launched scholarship/fellowship payments through National Scholarship Portal (NSP) using Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT).
Over 6,000 agriculture students received ₹21.35 crore at ICAR-IARI, Pusa event.
Monthly disbursement of scholarships directly into students’ bank accounts.
Aims for faster, transparent, seamless, timely and hassle-free fund transfer.
Reduces delays that earlier disrupted studies.
The minister stressed the importance of practical farm and research training to produce skilled farmers, scientists and agri-entrepreneurs.
