Summary

The RRB OR Railway Recruitment Board holds the RRB JE exam to hire JE (Junior Engineer), Junior Engineer (Information Technology), Depot Material Superintendent (DMS), and CMA (Chemical & Metallurgical Assistant for various railway zones all across the country. Although this is a national-level test, RRB posts openings for individual zones separately.

Those who want to take the RRB JE 2022 exam must fill out the application form online. The recruiting board has yet to release the exam notification.

Applicants who meet the eligibility criteria can apply online for RRB JE Exam (Junior Engineer) by using the official website.

For the JE (Junior Engineer), applicants should be between the ages of 18 years - 33 years. The JE (Junior Engineer) exam is being conducted in multiple phases, First stage Computer Based Test (CBT), Second Stage Computer Based Test (CBT), and Document Verification/ Medical Examination. Candidates who passed these criteria of this examination will be considered for the RRB JE (Junior Engineer) positions.

The RRB JE (Junior Engineer) First Stage Computer Based Test (CBT) exam syllabus includes Mathematics, General Intelligence and Reasoning, General Science, and General Awareness. The Second Stage CBT exam syllabus of the RRB JE (Junior Engineer) includes Basics of Computers and Applications, Physics & Chemistry, Basics of Environment and Pollution Control, General Awareness, and Technical Abilities.

Aspirants must pay Rs. 500 for GEN/OBC/Other candidates and Rs. 250 for SC/ST/PWD candidates to fill out the application form for the RRB JE (Junior Engineer) exam.

    Eligibility Criteria

    Essential Educational Qualifications: 

    (A) Junior Engineer

    Three years Diploma OR a combination of any substream of basic streams in relevant fields from a recognised University or Institute.

    (B) Junior Engineer (Information Technology)

    PGDCA / B.Tech. (Information Technology) / B.Sc. (Computer Science) / BCA / B.Tech. (Information Technology) / B.Tech. (Computer Science) / DOEACC 'B' level programme of three years term or equivalents from a recognised University or Institute via regular, open, and distance learning methods of education.

    (C) Depot Material Superintendent

    Three years Diploma in Engineering in any related subject from a recognized University or Institute.

    (D) Chemical and Metallurgical Assistant

    Bachelor's (Graduation) Degree in Science with Physics & Chemistry with at least of 45 percent marks from a recognized University or Institute..

     

    Age limit:

    The age limit of the applicants should be from 18 years to 33 years.

    * Candidates must have been born between the dates of 02 January 1986 and 01 January 2001 (both days inclusive).*

    Eligibility Criteria for Qualifying:

    Minimum percentage of marks required for eligibility in various categories:

    • UR - 40 percent

    • OBC - 30 percent

    • SC - 30 percent

    • ST - 25 percent

    These percentages of marks for eligibility may be relaxed by 2% for PWD candidates if there is a shortage of PWD candidates to fill seats reserved for them.

    • Candidates who pass all stages are invited by the various RRBs for document verification.

    • On the day of document verification, candidates must bring the genuine documents requested by RRBs.

    Fee all candidates: Rs. 500/-

    Note: This amount of Rs. 400 will be returned after deducting any applicable bank charges when you appear in the First Stage CBT.

    All required service fees must be borne by the candidate.

    Step 1: Visit the official website of your region's RRB or Click on the link provided on our website.

    Step 2: Select the "apply now" button given on the website.

    Step 3: Enter the required information, such as your father's name, your date of birth, your phone number, and so on.

    Step 4: Confirm your phone number and your email address with an OTP.

    Step 5: A registration ID will be issued after verification.

    Step 6: Login again with your Registration ID and password into the website.

    Step 7: Fill in the remaining necessary information in the required field.

    Step 8: Attach a scanned copy of your photo and your signature in the specified dimensions.

    Step 9: Pay the online application fee by any mode or e-challan.

    Step 10: Re-check your application and click the submit button.

    Step 11: The application will appear on the screen for downloading and take a printout for future reference.
