The RPF SI (Sub Inspector) test is divided into three stages: CBT (Computer Based Test), Physical Efficiency Test (PET) & Physical Measurement Test (PMT), and Document Verification (DV). Candidates who passed these criteria of this examination will be considered for the RPF SI (Sub Inspector) position.

The RPF SI (Sub Inspector) Computer Based Test (CBT) exam syllabus includes General Intelligence and Reasoning, Arithmetic, and General Awareness. Aspirants must pay Rs.500 for GEN/OBC/Other candidates and Rs. 250 for SC/ST/PWD candidates to fill out the application form for the RPF SI (Sub Inspector) exam.

    Eligibility Criteria

    Essential Educational Qualifications:

    Bachelor's Degree or Graduate from a recognized university.

    Age limit (As on 01-07-2024):

    The age limit of the applicants should be from 20 years to 25 years.

    * To provide relief to many candidates who have crossed the age limit and have missed the opportunity to participate in Railway Recruitment due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the age limit for this post is relaxed by 3 years from the prescribed upper limit (20 to 28).

    The procedure of recruitment will be divided into three stages:

    • Computer Based Test (CBT)

    • Physical Efficiency Test (PET) & Physical Measurement Test (PMT)

    Important Note:

    I. The questions on the papers will be of the multiple-choice type.

    II. Each question will be carried one mark.

    III. Each incorrect answer will 1/3rd marks deduction.

    Eligibility Criteria for Qualifying:

    To qualify for the CBT, candidates must score 35 percent of overall marks (30 percent for SC and ST candidates).

    • Only one chance will be offered for the 1600/800 metres event.

    • Candidates will be granted up to two chances each in the Long Jump and High Jump events.

    • All candidates who qualify in the 1600 meters/800 metres will be measured for eligibility in terms of height and chest.

    • Applicants who do not meet the minimum height and chest (expanded/ unexpanded) requirements for the PMT will be disqualified.

    • PET/PMT is a qualifying test. There will be no marks given.

    Document Verification for Railway RPF Constable

    • Candidates who pass all stages are invited by the various Railway RPF zones for document verification.

    • On the day of document verification, candidates must bring the genuine documents requested by RPF.

    • If a candidate fails to submit original documents or if a document is found to be faked, his or her participation will be terminated.

    Application Fee

    Fee Payable by Candidates for Railway RPF Constable Exam:

    Fee all candidates: Rs. 500/- 

    Note: This amount of Rs. 400 will be returned after deducting any applicable bank charges when you appear in the CBT.

    EWS/ SC/ ST/ Ex-Serviceman/ PWDs/ Female/ Minorities/ Transgender: Rs. 250/-

    How to Apply

    For further information on how to fill out the online application form, see the instructions below.

    Step 1: Visit the official website of your region's RPF website.

    Step 2: Select the "apply now" button given on the website.

    Step 3: Enter the required information, such as your father's name, your date of birth, your phone number, email id, category, and so on.

    Step 4: Confirm your phone number and your email address with an OTP.

    Step 5: A registration ID will be issued after verification.

    Step 6: Login again with your Registration ID and password into the website.

    Step 7: Fill in the remaining necessary information in the required field.

    Step 8: Attach a scanned copy of your photo and your signature in the specified dimensions.

    Step 9: Pay the online application fee by any online mode only.

    Step 10: Re-check your application and click the submit button.

    Step 11: The application will appear on the screen for downloading and take a printout for future reference.
